Thank you to the 12-24 Club for coming up with a way to get through New Year’s Eve with little kids and without a wild party. Their special “First Night” evening of family-friendly events followed by fireworks was wildly successful. The families wandering around downtown Casper from event to event, drinking hot chocolate and waiting for the fireworks, were grateful to have something so different available, happily avoiding the challenge of finding a babysitter to go somewhere expensive and possibly less fun.
Nothing against wild parties, but it’s too much pressure to always have a special event on New Year’s Eve, especially when you have children at home. Starting a new year hanging out with the family or friends can be just what the doctor ordered after the hectic month of December.
